Core Domestic Gas Safety

CCN1, Domestic Gas Safety, is the core qualification and is normally a pre-requisite to have before attaining other additional qualifications. There are some exceptions to this, but generally most candidates must complete CCN1, or already be in possession of this qualification before adding others. In broad terms CCN1 contains the following core modules.

Installation of Commercial, Direct Fired Appliances

CDGA1, installation of direct fired commercial appliances, covers what you'll need to know in order to safely install and commission these types of appliances. Broadly, the course covers the following knowledge areas.

Domestic Gas Fired Central Heating, Water & Heating Appliance

CENWAT1, Domestic Gas Fired central heating, water & heaters, covers what you’ll need to know in order to safely install, service and repair this particular category of appliances.

Core Emergency Service Provider - Natural Gas

CESP1, Emergency Service Provider - Natural Gas, is the core qualification for ESPs and is normally a pre-requisite to have before attaining any further ESP qualifications. There are some exceptions to this, but generally most candidates will be conversant with CCN1, or already be in possession of this qualification before adding others.

First Fix for Commercial Pipework

ICPN1 is the core qualification for the installation of first fix pipework into commercial premises. It is assumed that candidates wishing to subsequently test and purge installed pipework would also hold the requisite qualifications to do this. Generally candidates will already have attained CCN1, COCNPI1LS or CCN1+ CoDNCO1, plus TPCP1 or TPCP1A. Strength Testing

TPCP1 is the core qualification for strength testing, Tightness testing and purging of industrial installations, not exceeding 16bar pressure. Generally candidates will already have attained CN1, COCNPI1LS or CCN1+ CoDNCO1 before training for and attaining TPCP1.

Changeover, Domestic to Commercial Catering Appliances Gas Safety

COCATA1, Changeover Domestic to Commercial Appliances Gas safety, adds to CCN1 and provides for the core qualification that is an alternative pre-requisite to CODC1 before attaining other additional commercial catering appliance qualifications. There are some exceptions to this, but generally most candidates might complete COCATA1, to enhance their CCN1 qualification before adding commercial catering.

Electro Fusion Jointing, Low Pressure

LEGIONELLA RISK ASSESSMENT & WATER SYSTEMS DISINFECTION

The course is for experienced plumbing and heating operatives.
