Core Domestic Gas Safety

CCN1, Domestic Gas Safety, is the core qualification and is normally a pre-requisite to have before attaining other additional qualifications. There are some exceptions to this, but generally most candidates must complete CCN1, or already be in possession of this qualification before adding others. In broad terms CCN1 contains the following core modules.

Domestic Gas Fired Central Heating, Water & Heating Appliance

CENWAT1, Domestic Gas Fired central heating, water & heaters, covers what you’ll need to know in order to safely install, service and repair this particular category of appliances.

Domestic Gas Cooking Appliances

CKR1, Domestic Gas Cooking Appliances, covers what you'll need to know in order to safely install, service and repair domestic gas cooking appliances.

Changeover Core Domestic to Core Commercial Gas Safety

CoDNCO1, Changeover core Domestic to core Commercial Gas Safety, covers what you'll need to know in order to understand the differences between Domestic and Commercial core gas safety, how this impacts upon testing and gas detection; also strength testing and purging the installation. The training also makes reference the key differences between considerations for commercial appliances as opposed to domestic appliances.

Flue Gas Analysers

CPA1, Flue Gas Analysers, covers what you'll need to know in order to use a flue gas analyser in conjunction with installation work, servicing and repair of gas appliances.

Domestic Gas Ducted Air Heaters

DAH1, Domestic Gas Fired Ducted Air Heaters (Warm Air), covers what you'll need to know in order to safely install, service and repair domestic gas fired ducted air heaters.

LAU1, Domestic Gas Laundry Appliances, covers what you'll need to know in order to safely install, service and repair domestic gas laundry appliances.

MET2 (Formerly MET1), Domestic Gas Meters, covers what you'll need to know in order to safely install, exchange, remove & commission domestic gas meters.

Install Domestic Gas Meters

MET4, Install Domestic Gas Meters, covers what you'll need to know in order to safely install & commission domestic gas meters.

Changeover Core Domestic to Core Commercial Laundry Gas Safety

CoCCLNG1, Changeover Domestic to Core Commercial Laundry Gas Safety, adds to CCN1 and provides for the core qualification that is normally a pre-requisite to have before attaining ‘CLE1’ (Installation of Commercial Gas Laundry Appliances).

Changeover Commercial Gas to Domestic Gas

This changeover will allow you to convert your commercial gas safety core to a domestic gas safety core

Carbon Monoxide/Dioxide in Domestic Atmospheres

This one-day course will bring your up to speed with British Standard 7967 to respond appropriately and safely to reports of suspected Carbon Monoxide in domestic environments.
